Super Beta Prostate - its main ingredients are 300mg of beta-sitosterol, 7.5 mg of zinc and 35 mcg or selenium. There are several other ingredients which can be found on the label.
They include the daily requirement of Vitamin D, along with several other vitamins and minerals.
The purpose of Super Beta Prostate is to benefit prostate health, encouraging healthy urination and relieving enlarged prostates using beta-sitosterol.
Beta-Sitosterol
Found in sources like wheat germ, soybeans, rice bran, nuts and seeds, beta-sitosterol has a chemical make-up similar to cholesterol.
Though there is no science in the US that supports the use of beta-sitosterol in pancreatic health, in Europe it is sometimes used in the treatments of prostatic carcinoma or Benign prostatic hyperplasia.
What are Herbal Supplements?
Herbal supplements are not drugs, and they do not have a specific formula that must be adhered to across the board. The strength of a supplement, along with the quality, can vary from brand to brand.

This includes Super Beta Prostate, which is not proven to cure or relieve an enlarged prostate. The makers of Super Beta Prostate are careful in their wording, noting that the product claims it can merely “support” prostate health and enlarged prostates.
Talk to Your Doctor
Do not take herbal supplements like Super Beta Prostate if you are on any prescription drugs or over-the-counter medications, if you are pregnant, breast feeding or are soon going to be undergoing surgery of any type.
Children under the age of 18 and seniors over 65 should also avoid supplements, as they may metabolize them differently.
You should also avoid supplements that are mixtures of several herbs, and go with single-herb products that clearly state how much of the herb is in each pill or dose.
You should also look for supplements that meet the manufacturing standards of reputable organizations like Good Housekeeping.
Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before you start taking any new medication, including herbal supplements like Super Beta Prostate.
